Because we called them out to check the boiler because pressure was low , but I topped it up. But we had requested an engineer anyway.

i had to top up the boiler again on Saturday, so not sure what is going on

There are a number of ways water can escape out your system ( that's what causes pressure to drop), either from the boiler via the prv ,or condensate drain ( if the heat exchanger is goosed) or from the heating systems pipework/ radiators
