The Soviet Union for most of the 19th century was an absolute shambles, starting with the rise in socialism and then communism. It wasn't Russian fighting ability that won them the war it was their perniciousness. The Russians lured the Germans into a false sense of security and the Germans encroached too far and the weather destroyed their efforts almost completely on it's own. It was cunning not military might that won it. This was happening while Lenin/Stalin were searching out and destroying anyone in Russia deemed to be against the interests of the communist government.

Both Napoleon and Hitler underestimated the Russians, the latest armchair generals seem to be making the same mistake, when the Nazis compared they own hi tech equipment to the Russians rusty tanks they sneered that they could overrun Russia during the summer and be back home by Christmas,the Russians didn't just defeat the Nazis they annihilated them.
A Russian General was asked how did it feel to get to Berlin he replied that the last time they invaded Europe they got as far as Paris.

The majority (all ??) Russians that had been taken prisoner that were repatriated to Russia at the end of the war were executed or sent to the Gulags

Stalin deemed them to be traitors ??

He refused to do a prisoner exchange for his own son , who killed himself in a german POW camp

Stalin had blocking units in place that would shoot any retreating Russian troops

Not me mate, you are the one would prefer to be ruled by the German run EU than be ruled your own democratically elected countrymen.
I am not the one who extolls the virtues of uncontrolled immigration or thinks the likes of John McDonnell who worships dead IRA terrorists should be allowed to take control of the countries finances.

What did a democratic majority vote for in the referendum? i don't defend the Russians , I just don't understand this irrational hatred of Russians, as I have pointed out before the UK has lots of problems like low wages, uncontrolled immigration and related crime, an NHS under strain, social insecurity caused by austerity but as far as I know none of these problems are caused by the Russians, if you can show evidence that any of these problems are caused by the Russians then I might be tempted to join in on the hysteria.

Most of em did not look like woman ?? all looked like blokes to me probably were ??

Certainly hope they have better quality control on there military kit than they used to have , or still have at the Lada factory
