Around the 70's, maybe 80's, there was a TV sitcom involving a Welsh family. There was a guy called Shadwell, and his sister was Phyllis Doris.
The mother used to cut a loaf of bread with it tucked under her arm, and the father was called Will.
Someone solve this meal time dilemma and tell me what it was called, please?
John :)

You beat me to it...I don't think that's what he means...but it's the only 'Shadwell' I've ever heard of on the box....funny guy too.

I remember this, I seem to remember him having conversations with housebricks and biro's.

That's the way my dear old Mum used to cut the bread.
Yep. she was from the valleys. Bless 'er cotton socks.
She'd probably clout me round the "yer 'ole" or bang me over the 'ead with the "sospan" if she were still alive.

Was he on the same programme as Kevin Turvey, or is my memory letting me down?

I thought he was on Naked Video or a similar sketch show...sat on the end of a bed doing a monologue.

Shadwell's parents gave him the living room carpet for xmas as long as he kept it in the living room on the floor!

'Er indoors reckons its from the Naked Video show......she's always right  And never admits the opposite anyway so she must be :D
