Would these small downlights backwash?

Guys can someone please confirm from possibly experience also whether the strip RGB light from the strip LED would be interrupted in flow or anythin as such if there are recessed downlights units in the same tray?

Meaning would the short height of the light units mess the smooth feathered effect released from the cove as the strip LED would be behind the recessed light units?

Presumably the actual thickness of the ceiling is not as it appears in the photos? (If it is then surely a conventional DL would not fit properly).

Note the statement by Osram about the aluminium-coated lamps:
"Drastically reduced thermal load in the luminaire thanks to an aluminium-coated reflector"

Since normal halogens can get f***ing hot. Then surely these ones will still get very hot. This must be a risk for your LED light strip?

Personally I agree that DLs would spoil your lovely design. I'd suggest flourescent tube uplighters instead of the LED strip lights. These would give more light than LEDs but still be cool and relatively low power.

Hi Dippy, thanks for the reply

Regarding the uplighters, can you get them in a curved shape?

I need what ever light there is to shine upwards of course but in consistency with the curve.

The small downlighters are supposed to have a minimalistic look i.e. 1 every 2 meters on a 17 meter stretch of curve

For an illustration i have my lightwave 3d model rendered

If you look closely at the ends of the cove there are small downlights. Although that is the same as what i want to achieve, the number of lights has reduced by a few

how much would they cost to make?

Also from what i remember they dont last long.

The strip led with 300 leds per 5 meter reel give a very powerful light. Let me show you

This is also dimmable using the RGB Controller

T4 link-lights come in various lengths. I believe that the smallest is 6W and about 20cm long. Unless you have some tight radius bends you should be able to arrange some so that there is no break in the lighting effect.

Dippy ive seen these lights but the problem is regardless of how well you place them the flow is always jagged.

Getting a source of cove lighting is not an issue, there are several solutions however the problem is clash between the recessed light fixture and the cove light source. Im thinking there may be an interruption in parts where the recessed light fixtures are
