the 3 port valve should give 230vac on the orange if installed correctly, looks like you may have made a mistake on your wiring or the 3 port is faulty.
Yes you were correct. It was my fault, I had not wired up the HWS line from the thermostat. As I was using a second room stat (not a tank stat as per standard Y Plan drawing) I just copied the connections as I had done them before for the main "room" thermostat.

I now have a kitchen as separate zone so alls well that ends well.
Do Worcester-Bosch non-combi boilers support separate flow temperatures for CH and DHW? I may have misunderstood, but should boilers with separate flow temperature controls for CH and DHW be configured as W-plan?
