Yet another example....

When they eventually get to asylum court most of the invaders do qualify.

And, as you rightly point out, those that don't qualify stay anyway.

And, it's not just the boat people; the invaders are coming by air and tunnel also.

And, it has been happening for many years, we just weren't allowed to mention until David Cameron did.
Would that be Tom, Dick or Harry, old sport?:p

So a lot of them are not illegal then

The issue is those that should be returned aren't. Who is at fault there ? Recognise that and do something about it.

What do we do about those that are not illegal but commit crime in our country?

The Tories were still blaming Labour for stuff until fairly recently.....12+ years ago.....
I don't disagree. As someone said, the merry-go-round continues. One lot in for x years, next lot in for x years, with a dash of 'we're still clearing up their mess' for good measure. Meanwhile, things continue going to sh1t ...

That is not the "issue". The "issue" is that the taxpayer does not want them here whether legal or illegal. To make the story be about the lack of success in deporting the failed asylum seekers is sophistry as so few claims are rejected.

You are a communist who hates the British people and wants us to be replaced.

How wrong you are.

The "issue" is lackwits attributing the ills of the country on the wrong people.

The government is playing the mouth-breathers like a fiddle.

None of this is an accident, flooding the country with desperate working age young people keeps wages down, which makes the rich richer, so the tories love it. Labour also loves it, but for equally stupid different reasons, that hardline lefties want to eliminate national borders and turn the world into some kind of impossible communist fantasy. Neither party actually represents the electorate.

All the crap about Rwanda, getting tough etc etc is all just window-dressing. They just keep pretending they're bothered while deliberately doing nothing about it.

There's no labour shortage. There's only a willing labour shortage, the country's full of unemployed and underemployed natives. Nothing that a few free bus passes and relocation allowances couldn't sort out, plus making getting paid for doing nothing a lot more difficult for those that currently choose this lifestyle.

It just needs imagination and action. I once worked for a technology company that was out in the countryside, back in the 1960s they were paid by the government to move out of London, due to concerns about how congested it was getting, into an unemployment black-spot in the countryside, where people were being made redundant by the mechanisation of farming. They've been there ever since, producing stuff and paying wages.

I actually moved from suburbia to the countryside to work there, and have moved several times since. Many won't consider it, they sit on their arses complaining that nobody's turned up at their door presenting them with their dream job, claiming benefits while we import workers to do the work they should be doing.

While much criticised by the wussy leftie types, Norman Tebbit had a very valid point with his "on your bike" speech...
