Truffles. Or in the absence thereof truffle oil. Maybe that's a little self indulgent. How about modern civilisation as we know it? Or at least the basic road network of Britain. That surely trumps the ridiculous vanity of modern Italian exports such as Ferrari, Ducati, Versace etc etc....
