Ok perhaps a bit morbid, the idea for this question came from the article about Nigel Lawson and his final meal.

Scenario. You're advised you won't be here after today. What would you have this evening as a final meal and if you feel like sharing, why?

You can have a starter, main and dessert with a drink of your choice however aren't obliged to have them all. Cooked for you to your requirements. I'd have:

Starter: Prawn cocktail
Main: Sirloin steak (well done), mild pepper sauce, mash, onion rings, peas
Dessert: Plain sponge with jam topping and warm custard
Drink: Can of coke

I agree with the OP for The main, you can't beat a good steak with peppercorn sauce and onion rings.

But I don't do prawns, so I'll go....

Starter.... soup, maybe potato and leek

Pudding...apple crumble and custard.

Drink...can of coke

I'd die a happy man.

Sausage n' mash smothered in onion gravy with a dollop o' mushy peas.
Treacle pudding drowned in vanilla custard.
Tea, brewed in a pot as God intended. In a china cup. Several. Just keep 'em comin', as long as you like....we got time.

Pate with nice crackers or toast
Medium steak with blue cheese sauce
Cheese board and red wine.

Starter. Wouldn't bother.
Main. Home made chips, (from real potatoes, not out of the freezer), fried in proper beef dripping, 2 runny fried eggs and a good serving of marrowfat peas with bread and Anchor butter. Oh, and some HP brown sauce.
Dessert. Homemade rice puffing with the skin on top
Drink. Mugs of tea with milk and 3 sugars in each one.

Keep all your fancy stuff like steaks, onion rings, peppercorn sauce etc
