When plumbed into the utility room if you happened to touch the drum and the adjacent ss sink unit with the power on, ouch! a shock, reading 110VAC. The fault was isolated to the actual washer machine. The electical supply and earthing are all okay having been checked by an electrician.
Fitted a new washing machine and this is okay.
As the faulty machine is less than 2 years old and hardly used seems a shame to dump it.
Any suggestions as to where the fault may be.
Tried to check it in the garage and it now seems okay, i'e no shocks if you touch an adjacent metal surface.
