I have a 2 port Myson MPE222 ACT222 actuator head on the zone valve of the central heating radiator system.
This has 4 wires and has worked without any problem (but has needed to be changed about every 3years.)
However the actual valve base is marked 28mm and Myson tell me that I need an ACT228 actuator to fit it and that the heads are NOT interchangeable. As this is obviously not actually the physical case and as the ACT228 has 5 wires, can anybody confirm Myson's information please? If I do obtain a 5 wire head, the white fifth wire will only be made safe and not utilised.
I was quite happy to fit another 222 but am now wondering if there are any differences which would affect the operation, and why Myson would give that information.
