100mm x 6 screws suitable for this TV ?

you have a 40mm plug and want to use a 70mm screw you will need a gap to accommodate the excessive screw length poking out the back off the plug so an excessively deep hole other wise the jacking out head twisting off or screw grounding i mention about will probably happen

my suggestion drill a 55mm hole knock the plug in 5mm below the surface take a screw that equals the bracket thickness plus plug depth so assuming the bracket is 6mm thick plus 45mm plug gives you 51mm so a 50mm/2" screw is perfect
remember it fine for a screw to only penetrate 5 mm short [35mm] as the load is approaching zero when divided between 4 wall plugs

When I put up this oven thing 17kg up it must put much more pressure on the screws than a thin tv as it's far from the wall so I chose 4 x 100mm 6mm screws in 8mm duo plugs. I thought being longer -100mm they'd be stronger but you think I was pointless to use such long screws? Should ve used 70mm x 6mm?

Don't have 50mm x 6mm or they don't exist dunno

you want 4.5 or 5mm 50-60 long assuming your bracket is between 3-8mm thick for brown plugs with a 6.5/7mm/1/4" masonary bit 50-55mm deep hole
not sure about your duoplugs you need to check

i have never used duoplugs so when i searched earlier it came up with 40mm so i assumed that was the only size i now realize they are in general big to very big hence the confusion with me assuming brown plug size with me refering to 4/4.5mm by 50mm and you keep refering to 70mm and 8mm

Nah - Fischer plugs are all the same colour (in each type - mostly grey)

If he does mean Fischer DuoPower they're 5-14mm diameter (i.e. drill size), ≡ Rawlplug yellow/red/brown/blue/grey/bigger; and lengths (although obv not every one in each diameter) 25 - 80mm, ≡ Rawlplug.... err.... no choice; and screw diameter 4-12mm, ≡ Rawlplug 3-8mm.

I'm quite happy with Fischer SX or SX+ - doesn't bother me that they are all grey as they have the sizes moulded onto them. I've also got, but have yet to use, some DuoTec 10s.


But bring back the asbestos powder you used to mix with spit, that's what I say.
