Nonsense. Why wouldn't you prefer things closer to where you live. Do you like travelling further for a reason?
The vote proves it. And don’t forget about all the protests.

All the damage to cameras and traffic control bollards etc isn’t because people are happy with it all.

You’re welcome to your opinion. It’s just not many people agree with it.

People aren't happy about traffic reduction plans. This has nothing to do with 15 minute cities.

Would you rather a health centre was 10 mins or 40 mins away? Would you prefer to take a walk in a park that was 10 mins away or 40 minutes away. But no, some people would rather join the dots and get to some ulterior motive for it all.

Do you genuinely believe that dozens of new health centres will be built and dozens of new parks will be created just to ensure everybody has one withing a ten minute walk?

No one’s happy there.

No I don't. But at least understand what 15 minute cities are about. Traffic filters are a red herring.

What was he actually objecting about? What are the detrimental effects he was talking about?
There’s a longer version on YouTube.

They aren’t happy about having 15 minute city’s imposed on them with no say on the matter.

If they liked 15 min cites, then there would be no protesting.

No they aren't happy about perceived restrictions. One person in the tiktok video chat said he "heard that your bank card won't work outside of your 15 minute zone". Bonkers...

'15-minute cities aim to provide people with more choice about how and where they travel, not to restrict movement. It is for a local authority to determine whether or not this is a concept they wish to propose for their local area and/or include in their Local Plan or hold a referendum on such issues. The government believe there are sufficient mechanisms already in place for local authorities to do this and has no plans to make this mandatory.'

He’s saying they aren’t happy about it being implemented without their consent.

I’d like a say if it was happening near me. As I’m sure most rational people would.
