Would you prefer services in general closer to you or further away?
I'll answer it. Yes, it makes perfect sense to have the services you need closer to you, rather than further away.

This is exactly the crux of the argument.

Lots of proper arguments for and against, but if people can't get past the basic idea the rest is pointless, as this thread is proving
I know, this is the problem when your up against climate change zealots

That’s all well and good.

All I’m saying is things are fine now.

The climate issue is absolute ******s anyway. How many private jets are used in its name ?

To make a 15 minute city truly work you would have to do a massive amount of research on each and everyone.

That won’t work. So it will be like living in a shopping mall.

This is exactly the crux of the argument.
I really don't know what is so difficult to grasp. If some think it isn't a good idea then they should say so.

But no, it depends on what the parking is like, are the seats comfy etc.

So you’d go to a cinema with bad parking and uncomfortable seats just because it’s a bit closer ?

So maybe the major tory party donors (developers) should be forced to provide the infrastructure to support the 15 minute doctrim?

Oh that's right, schools/medical facilities etc will be outside those timed zones/omitted because it digs into their profits!

What timed zones? I suspect you are making the same mistake as others.

They built an estate in Sheffield in the sixties on that principal where all your services are provided on site. Needless to say the bulldozers flattened the place when things didnt turn out as they envisiged.
Looks like this up coming generation rather than learning from history will have to learn the hard way.

That's a logical and proper argument.

Pity gant and nwgs couldn't say this, rather than just trying to prove its climate change zealots.

As I said there are arguments for both sides.
