Just got back from a stroll along the sea front. hot windy and sunny.

What do you put out for the Goldfinches, I have tried all the usuals with little success

I find the goldfinches only eat the Nijer seed -its a fine seed that needs its own type of feeder

My Dad gets Siskins too -they also like Nijer seed

South Wales has enjoyed a sunny day today with the odd heavy sleet/hail shower.
The garden is trying to burst into life from its winter slumber, but a chill in the air is still keeping everything tucked up.
We need the prevailing winds to turn and warm things up.

I thought Newquay was supposed to be the trouble spot?

Yes it used to be Newquay, mainly youngsters on holiday, followed by Bodmin, but we took over the number 1 slot a couple of years ago.
To be fair, it's still a low crime area compared to many parts of the country.

are you a surfer or into boats?

We stated at Cornwall a couple of years ago in the caravan, included a visit to St Austell brewery, home of Korev lager and Tribute bitter!.

Got a taste for Tribute when staying in Devon for a few years (just holidays unfortunately).

Lovely part of the country.

I tend to mainly drink Tribute, only because the majority of pubs are owned by St Austell Brewery, Skinners in Truro produce some nice beers.
I've done the Brewery tour several times, always enjoy it.

We looked all over for Tribute when I got back to York, a month later Tesco started stocking it which was nice!.

Yeh the tour was good, very interesting to see their history.
