deposits will not occure below 60 degree's c, but dont forget the powermax 155x trand=sfers heat through the plate heat x at over 60, then reduces it down with a blender valve!!
I seem to remember working on a Powermax this year, from memory it has a built-in thermal store and the secondary heat exchanger is copper, therefore the use of strong HCL should be resisted (probably best to use that on stainless steel only), your problem as the user would be how to recirculate weak acids (Sulphamic) in the DHW heat exchanger, hire a flushing pump perhaps, or buy/rent a baby powerflusher to use once a year when the flowrate starts to drop.
