Hard water area - scale problem

I do have to agree!

Unfortunately Softus rarely contributes anything to any discussion. All he seems to be able to do is cut and paste and criticise postings by others.

In spite of that I do gather he is actually engaged in plumbing work in West London.

I see nothing wrong with anything that Mr Jeffries has done. He gives useful advice to the original posters and does not set out to criticise other experts.

Well, judging by the laughable advice he posted on a bath installation, he can`t be up to much..i.e `screw feet down & then level bath!`...Go figure...

Thats the correct way to doit, unless you have the cheap feet that you have to turn the whole lot.

I know..I realised after inserting that post that you can obviously adjust the feet after screwing in place by using the nuts..

Pardon me, but who the hell do you think you are?
I see you're starting with the easy questions. :)

The answer is that I think I'm a forum member, and one who happens to dislike advertising within posts or signatures, and who has a right to express that dislike.

Have you been made Moderator of the forum now have you
If I had then I would not be at liberty to disclose the fact.

Who cares what you do like & don`t like within a post ,be it advertising or otherwise?
I do. I haven't asked anyone else to care, least of all you.

If the Mods think it is unacceptable it will be removed.
I fail to see the relevance of that comment.

As far as I am aware you are neither Plumber, Gas engineer nor installer.
Notwithstanding the inaccuracy of your opinion, my point about advertising has nothing to do with any of those trades.

People can post what they like
If you're right, then I don't understand why you can't accept what I'm posting, but I suppose that "a jeffries" will be very grateful that you've come along to fight his/her battles.

You don't have to Agile - you could butt out if you so wished. I have to give you enormous credit, however, for [mostly] ceasing to blatantly advertise within your posts.

Unfortunately Softus rarely contributes anything to any discussion.
If that were true, which it isn't, then I don't see anything unfortunate about it. However, it isn't true.

All he seems to be able to do is cut and paste and criticise postings by others.
I rarely cut and paste anything except URLs.

In spite of that I do gather he is actually engaged in plumbing work in West London.
Then you must be gathering something very strange, because I'm not.

I see nothing wrong with anything that Mr Jeffries has done. He gives useful advice to the original posters and does not set out to criticise other experts.
You're entitled to think that he's done nothing wrong; I'm equally entitled to think that he has.

Thank you for the compliment, but I don't see myself as an expert because I don't specialise. I know more than some people and less then others. You are an expert because you have much deeper knowledge on your given specialism than most other forum members.

And to Bamber - thank you for the magnanimous retraction of your error in calling my advice over the bath feet "laughable". I have a lot of respect for someone who's prepared to do that, although I realise that respect from me is not really what you're looking for. ;)

And to doitall - another pleasant surprise. Thank you. Can we find common ground over the vent problem?

You are correct..you are a forum member
You appear to believe that anything you observe in a post that you think is not right should not be there..guess what.. it`s not your decision to make..& again..no one cares what you think. Express an opinion by all means, you have my permission, but please stop jumping in on every new posters submission, telling them what you
think they should & should not post.

No one has appointed you moral guardian of the site..this will probably come as a great shock to you & your over inflated Ego. If you don`t like something fine but unless it is directly involved in either offering assistance or bringing up a safety issue..keep any other opinions to yourself..it`s not big..it`s not clever..& you are impressing no one. I`m off out into the sun to enjoy a few beers with my friends whilst you pick your way through this post & return with more of your juvenile comebacks. I`ll have one for you & toast your good health...Laters..

MOD 2
will somebody explain what this has to do with scale ??

Not unless you see where your going wrong we can't.

Play friendly kids - you're hijacking my post now. Which incidentally is about PowerMax boilers in a hard water area...

PS As I see it, rules 7, 12 & 20 (at least) were broken in the making of this film. Although, as A Jeffries already seems to advertise on the site then maybe he's ok. He's ok with me as he actually responded about the post topic!!

What part of Bath is a very hard water area, I hardly get any scale whatsoever.

For water softeners go for Permutit or Culligans

My part. I'm in the environs - nobody's heard of it and Bath is the closest familiar place.
