As I said, where additional protection is required (which isn't all buried cables actually). But it is not correct to state that 100mA RCDs are no longer permitted - they are if used for the right reason.

Modern 17th edition installs require two 30mA rcds on the consumer unit, one serving each half section. (Unless you are using the more expensive RCBO'S.)
