JohnD's ignorance is highlighted by his inability to offer any counter-argument.

Country of origin
country of arrival
nature of goods
Duty = x

The first three in that list are already required, 50,000 people to determine x, I don't think so. What a complicated world you naïve remainers live in..

Imports will cost more from Europe, esp food as we get so much from EU

This is a post of mine from over a year ago. Nothing’s changed.

“......a quick look in my fridge shows Apricots, grapes and nectarines from South Africa, a net of garlic from China, carrots from Northern Ireland, parsnips from the UK, potatoes from Egypt, strawberry’s and rosemary from Ethiopia, Basil from Kenya, dates from Tunisia, bananas from Columbia, apples from New Zealand, tomatoes from Senegal, oranges from Chile and broccoli from Scotland. There is literally no fresh fruit and veg from the EU in my fridge apart from a pack of lemons" ....

Have a look in your supermarket next time you’re there and see just how much comes from outside the EU. You’ll be surprised.

You havent got a clue have you.

Your belief in brexit is built on ignorance of the facts, as shown by your post on customs checks

So you say. Weren’t things supposed to change after Jan 31st 2020 as well?
I'm not sure what you mean by 'change'? As far as written word goes - yes we have officially left the EU so any paperwork will now reflect that. As in new passports etc will not have any EU related bumph.

However, every other meaningful arrangement i.e. financial obligations and benefits of EU membership remain exactly the same until Jan 2021. More importantly, stock markets, businesses etc that rely upon EU countries (imports/exports) will not feel any tangible detriment until after 2020 passes.

All eyes on Bozzas grovelling team, for the coming months.

Your anecdotal “evidence” is trumped by reality:

“Britain imports nearly half of its fresh vegetables and the majority of its fruit, both mainly from the EU”

and food costs have increased because of Brexit enforced trade barriers.

oh and the fruit and veg rotting in fields…that puts up prices too
