No it isn't. It's the NI Protocol that is supposed to ease any problems.
And how is it artificial? A border is required, you and DUP would prefer the reintroduction of the hard border in Ireland, potentially restarting the troubles in NI. Now why would DUP want that?
Of course, it would require the return of UK army.

The border is there only due to Brexit. You can't blame the EU for this Brexit. It's what you voted for. It's what you wanted.
Therefore the border is solely the responsibility of Brexiteers, DUP being one of them.
Brexit means the whole of the UK leaving the EU, one way or another the EU will get forced out of our country.
Do you really believe ordinary people are going to live under a foreign regime in which we have no democratic representation in their Parliament.

Whichever way you look at it, JohnD's has succinctly put it, "UK created a problem that it cannot solve".

TM's version being one of them, which DUP opposed.

EU did not want Brexit, they frequently expressed that wish. But UK went ahead despite EU's desire.
How can it remotely be EU's fault? That's perverse.

Ouch, I've fallen over and cut my knee. It's that man's fault across the road because I did not heed his advice to look where I was going.
It doesn't matter one iota what the EU wanted, it was what 17 million people wanted that counts.
You talk like the the EU owned Britain, most of Britain is now out of the EU, it looks like N. I. will have to deal directly with the EU to get them to remove their border.

That's what I've been saying. You've got what you wanted, don't complain if you don't like.

You've already hinted that you are prepared to use fair means or foul.
One way or another, forced out, I think you said.

Switzerland manage, albeit with consistent moaning.
It doesn't matter what Switzerland does.
There were actually Black slaves many years ago who were quite happy being slaves but that didn't make slavery ok.

If someone steals your property they can be legally forced to return it.
It all depends how wish to define the word force.
Squatters can be legally forced out of someone's property.
The use of the word force in relation to the EU is legal and legitimate.
