I doubt very much if they care who they kill or maim either.

I hope this comment only shows a lack of understanding. Can you explain why you feel that people are killing and maiming for no reason at all? Is this what you yourself would be doing in such a situation?

Hermes, I agree that the amount of troops killed is only a fraction of the amount of civillians - I never said that it wasn't.

Which retaliation attacks are you referring to? I only know of the highly publicised internet video one - could you elaborate further or provide evidence? I still say that the Iraqi terrorists - not normal people but terrorists (there is a major difference here) are still bombing anyone they fancy.

I don't think I need to explain why I think why terrorists are killing and maiming anyone they fancy. They have no morals at all do they? Come on Hermes, I would have given you credit for being far more intelligent than that!

Oh and please Hermes, don't tar me with the same brush as the terrorists. I would not go killing, maiming and raping just for the pleasure of it - the Taliban seem to enjoy doing so though.

As for terrorists I agree we must never give in to them. Hijackers should be put in prison for twenty years and then see what the situation is in their country when it is time for their release. If we still can't send them back keep them in prison until we can. Asylum seekers should stop at the first country that is safe. Not travel through many safe countries to arrive in England. As for economic migrants; providing they work and abide by our laws why not let them find a better life for their families. Many of us would.
