Alarm has packed up

My alarm stopped working, following it being triggered by a storm last year (or so I believe).

It is a Gemini system - it still looks like it's ok - the sensor lights still work etc so it's not an electrical problem - but it just doesn't set or anything. So, is there a way of resetting these alarms once they've been activated? I put the code in, it beeps every time I depress a button, but doesn't 'arm' itself.

Anyone any ideas?

There's a control box type thing in the airing cupboard, but it looks like it's wired into the mains - there's a large battery within the unit, which says "for standby use only" - do you think that might need charging/replacing? The keypad still beeps when I press any of the buttons, so I'm not sure it's a battery issue.

ive never used one of they systems or no much about them. but i suspect it has defaulted back to factory settings. try 0123 or 1234 as the code see how you get on.

no problem mate. your system might need reprogrammed again but try it first see how you get on.
