Above is a post I made a short while ago. Poo poo'd by the now invisible Pat ex.A friend of a friend ( know!) lives in one of the villages near the beach where a lot of them land. They say that most of them just leg it through the village, jumping over back gardens to get away. The two most common questions they ask of villagers is "What way to Leicester" and "Can I charge my phone up". Go ahead, shoot me down, as JohnD often says about me, I. Don’t. Care.
Back on topic. Anyone see the BBC news on earlier? It'll be on again later. They are interviewing actual people that live in the actual village. Basically, a couple of boats landed again today, nobody asked for asylum and they all legged it.

Apparantly, people in the village have been told to keep their doors locked and windows closed. Don't believe me? Catch it again when it comes on again later.
No, it's a taxpayers' democratic demand being ignored by a tyrannical government. Once, far away and long ago, there was a revolution and a war waged by people who were suffering taxation with representation. A great new country was formed out of it.“not wanted here” is an opinion.
So do I, but only within limits. We do things without limits here, look at the amount spent on covid - it is said that the £500 billion could have fed everybody in the country for five years.I believe this country should help some of the people fleeing war or persecution.
I did hear about it on the radio. Very scary for the homeowners.Above is a post I made a short while ago. Poo poo'd by the now invisible Pat ex.

You mean like Brexit?Yes, but what happens when things that we sign up for turn out to be to our disadvantage and cause us harm
Liar.(Or if you're Noseall it's a "summer blip").
No, nobody said that.
While i agree with most of the above, it won't solve the problem of large numbers of people trying to enter the UK illegally.Booooooo!!!
Racist!!!
Take a long hard look at yourself!!!
We're all human you know!!!
These are the types of reply you'd receive from the lefty woke tree hugging brigade that seem to see no issue whatsoever with the numbers going up and up.
Yes it's a EU/global issue, however I stand by my view. Given little seems to be happening on a wider scale, we should be throwing a good few million at this UK side to build basic, clean, safe, temporary places to house these people and to significantly increase sea/border patrols to ensure the boat people are processed directly to one of the aforementioned temporary places. The challenge of course is the processing. Because they've been taught on what to do/say, they immediately go into a legal process that is bursting at the seams, leading to things taking months if not years instead of weeks to be resolved when it comes to concluding if they should be allowed to stay.
