I dont think everyone here has the same views , surely. Well views might be the wrong term but this attitude cant be across the board.

Although I dont share your sentiment about the St George Cross your comment about UNION JACKLAND actually shows what a bunch of ignoramuses inhabit this forum...they doent even know their own flag!
how do you compare a flag to a religious book
how do you compare a flag to a religious book
You tell me smart arze...HOW DID I?
I was making a point about freedom of expression...and the lack of it where certain subjects are concerned. You and your new mate are quick and righteous to brand anything you see as anti muslim racist. What do you say about the religous lunatics who want to kill people for writing a book, or drawing a cartoon, or even publishing it. Never mind the ones who want to blow planes full of people up, or fly them into buildings. Or blow up nightclubs full of people or buses, or trains. In this day and age Islam produces more murderous fanatical lunatics than any other religion I can think of.
But hey, let's not offend them.
Also freedom of expression? Lets assume you mean speech? Ok then , even freedom of expression does not cover freedom to get a reaction through insult.
The French cartoons were designed to insult and raise reaction, I find it hard to believe you didnt know this in the first place?
Salman Rushdie probably knows a few.Do you personally know any one person who practices the Muslim faith , who after seeing the cartoons , wanted to go and kill someone?
The reaction to the cartoons, books, whatever, says more about the mindset of the religious loons as far as I'm concerned. Islam seems to inspire fanaticism more than anything else currently, which makes it very fckin dangerous.Thirdly , do you really believe its OK to incite violence in such a way as the people who released those cartoons did then when they got the reaction they were seeking should they be allowed to walk away free from any responsibility?
