The causes of world wide inflation are (in no particular order):
1. Companies trying to pay off massive covid debts.
2. A war in Ukraine causing a fuel crisis
3. Fuel /opec nations/companies who lost out during the pandemic trying to recover and profit from increased demand
4 pent up spending capacity from pandemic.

Is that in the tables? Eyeballing the graphs every category was lower in Sept 2021 than sept 2010.

You need to look at the table for sept

https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/police-service-strength-england-and-wales-30-september-2010

The claim from was Police Staff. The facts show it’s not correct.

lets not mention how the £37bn for Test, Track & Trace Was the biggest, most scandalous transfer of wealth from the average tax payer to the already mega-wealthy

not really the avg tax payer picking up the bill. Top 10% will pay more than 50% as usual

No, your claim is not true

police officers:

2009 144k
2018 122k

are you saying this:
"23,500 police staff jobs have been lost in England and Wales since 2010, figures from GMB, the union for police staff, reveal.

The figures include more than 7,000 cuts to Police Community Support Officer roles (PCSOs)"

is not true?

Rachel Harrison, GMB National Officer, said:

“These cuts are an absolute disgrace – not content with taking more than 20,000 police officers off our streets, under the Conservatives 23,500 staff roles have been slashed too.

“GMB members undertake essential jobs – police forces could not function without out them but cuts are forcing the service to breaking point.

are you saying Rachel Harrison is lying?

Youve quoted from a .gov site -but ever since brexit campaign started in 2016, .gov sites can not be trusted to present information in a truthful way

we dont know how those figures are calculated, what they do or do not include

there is a rise in national insurance

that affects the average tax payer

I notice you dont address the colossal corruption involved which effectively transfers tax revenue into the pockets of Tories and their mates

Police staff and police officers not the same.

23,500 police staff jobs have been lost in England and Wales since 2010

would not appear to be correct according to the government figures.

I highly suspect that some Police functions are better managed by civilians.

No. Again it affects the highest tax payers more. Those who are far less likely to benefit, pay more as usual.

On the corruption allegations - I’m willing to be generous in how I judge a government that mobilised to deal with an unknown pandemic and had to do things on a footing similar to preparing for a war. Lots of mistakes were made, but few were predictable without hindsight.

I recall many were crying for more hospitals, ventilators, PPE, tougher lockdowns. Etc. much of which wasted money.

motorbiking is always surprised that people with larger amounts of income and wealth sometimes pay some tax on it.

was it predictable that buddies of tory ministers would slither to the front of the queue?

How many pub landlords with no experience of PPE landed a multi-million pound contract (apart from Hatt Mancock's neighbour)?

the highest tax payers

for purposes of clarification, please say what is the minimum annual income required for someone to be in the highest 10%.

And the weekly earnings of a person whose annual income is inside the Personal Allowance and therefore pays no income tax.

Use this to see who pays what. Someone on £40k pays more than double what someone on £20k pays

that's because everybody gets a tax-free Personal Aliowance (currently £12,570 p.a.)

Do you think they shouldn't?
