Those who live in glass house's should not throw stones
There was once a viking king, master of all he surveyed. Vikings lived in turf houses at that time.
He called his elders one day and asked them how he could demonstrate that he was the most important king in the land, despite living in a grass house. They told him he should sit on a throne. That would demonstrate his superiority.
So he called his carpenters and commanded them to make him the best throne that they had ever seen. They toiled away for a couple of weeks and then delivered a superb throne to the king.
He was immensely proud of his throne and sat on it at every opportunity.
But one day he heard from a traveller that all the other kings had copied his idea and now they all had thrones.
He summoned his wise men again and asked their advice. They told him he must have the biggest throne, encrusted with jewels.
He commanded his carpenters to build a new throne, which they obediently did.
When they delivered the new throne they were at a loss what to do with the old one. The king said, "put it in the loft, maybe it will be useful one day for my son."
This situation went on for a few years, every so often, the king ordering a new bigger, better throne, the carpenters chucking the old one in the loft.
One day, there was a minor earthquake tremor, the house shook, the ceiling cracked, then all the old thrones fell down and killed the king stone dead.
The moral of this story:
People who live in grass houses should not stow thrones!
