Before this diverts into it's usual love-in between the regulars, I'll just point out the absolute obvious which means that you can all ignore my previous post about different teams within different districts. The key to Manchester United is in the word "United", as in a union of all the districts.
That's why it doesn't matter a jot where the ground is.
It wouldn't matter where the ground was, since it is for a "United" team that historically represents the entire region. As it happens, Trafford is a Borough within Greater Manchester. I base this on the fact that I now live within a mile of the border with it, have worked in the area, have friends who sent their children to Trafford schools and indeed I used to live in Sale in Trafford for aboout 10 years. The postcodes have always commenced with "M", which is for "Manchester". Oh, and tomorrow I'm going to a friend's house for a meal, and he lives within half a mile of the ground, in Old Trafford.Say that to a City supporter! Maine Road, becomes Eastland, still in the City Centre, Old Trafford, NOT in Manchester. Never was, still isn't. It's in Trafford, which isn't a part of Manchester.
Nothing ominous about it at all. THe Police don't make the decisions. CPS do that, so bailed until such time as they get off their a***s and decide.latest news on the Manchester stabbing, Kyle Mullings aged 19 was appearing before Trafford magistrates court today.
The 72 year old store keeper was bailed until September, pending further police inquiries, that is ominous? I bet he has got previous form?? Will keep you posted.
