I dont think so any more than here or the USA.Are our more enlightened European neighbours ignoring government advice and meeting up for marches, protests and demonstrations and spreading the virus further?

Scotland was a bit behind our curve -and they made decisions differently because their R value was still above 1.I think as you say, like Scotland, it's just being a bit different to avoid following the wicked Tories
but on CV19 she has been consistent and clear.
I dont know about that, thanks for pointing it out, I will have a look.Except when she's been talking about care homes or testing or the NIKE conference.

And one wonders whether those who object to the protests are really concerned about the virus,
And one wonders whether those who object to the protests are really concerned about the virus, or simply object to the protests themselves for 'ideological' reasons?
I agree...however the moment in history to make change is now.And just for clarity, I have no problem with peaceful protests in normal times
So do I.I care about the vulnerable people that may be affected by their selfish irresponsibility.
the point is about protesters flouting social distancingThe difference is the Europeans acted sooner on the virus..

this is the pivotal moment, not in 2 years time when George Floyd and Trumps nasty response has all been forgotten.
So do I.
like sending patients back to care homes and allowing the virus to kill some of the other residents -that is disgusting behaviour of a government who then dishonestly claim @the NHS didnt get overwhelmed.
As I mentioned in another topic, what do you say about the 'selfish irresponsibility' of those who are telling people to get back on packed public transport every day to go to work?I care about the vulnerable people that may be affected by their selfish irresponsibility.
Protest or the daily commute?
Who said it did?Does the protest have any bearing on the commute, no!
But is the daily commute a bigger risk than the protest? The commute is absolutely essential at this time to get the country back on its feet.
