Ah well you see recruitment consultants hold jobs back and as time goes by there are even more graduates who go on to become rec cons, and so the number of agencies increases, there are hardly an placed left which you can go directly for a job, they seem to have all the jobs, and will only give one which fits the exact requirments and leaves a lot pe people who want jobs cant get past the recruitment consultant gate keeper. this leaves [people unable to find jobs mostly without agencies.
This has increased the unemployment rate. or has contributed as a major factor, which has also effected the amount people are able to spend and it has had effects in all markets.

Dont get me wrong the usa bankers played a big part, but other areas have added to this if you get my dift consultants being one of them.

A wonderful theory, but also complete bollerx to suggest that agencies hoard jobs. Please explain how they make money.

Sorry, alsheating but the inverse is true. Recruitment agencies don't hoard jobs but advertise false jobs.

This helps them build up their database (while they are relatively free) and keep it upto date with the latest info about the candidates so that when the time comes they know which candidates are likely to start the new job.


I think they are victims of the recession as much as we are.
