£60 for fitting a rip off? Assuming that the guy will need to spend 30 minutes to travel to the job each way and maybe some extra time and mileage to go and collect the closer from his supplier (for which he needs to earn money, plus his running costs for the van ro get there and back), maybe 40 to 50 minutes doing the job (including removing and making good the old closer to start with), tidying his work area, and maybe 10 minutes filling in the all essential paperwork; so do you still think it's a rip off? Running a half decent, reliable van for work (allowing for replacement cost, depreciation, maintenance, road tax, insurances, MoT, fuel etc), a phone, an office, accountant, work clothing and PPE, tools, etc all cost money on top of his personal hourly rate. And how many jobs will the guy fit in in a day? I think you must want the guy on minimum wage...They quoted £60 for closer and £60 to fit so £120. Rip off, right?
