Are they trying to scare us all again - What is this mutated new virus?

Do you think the entire country will be under tier 4 Regan? That's a horrible thought. I just can't imagine the job losses that are going to be there when furlough finishes? We could be looking at 5 million unemployed

They won't be able to resist using this new mutation to widen the area. Regardless of the case and death 'stats'. The most worrying aspect is how the government sneaked it in . They knew there would be a back bench revolt if they tried it when parliament was sitting.

Whatever, they have made a total dog's breakfast of the situation for millions in London and the SE.

The U-turn has been announced just as parliament was going into Christmas recess so that nobody would be around to say much about it?

So do you reckon they did this U-turn just as parliament was going into Christmas recess so that nobody would be around to say much about it? The thing I find most disconcerting is that with the U - turns it creates a feeling that the government are not certain about any outcome. If they U - turn about this then what else is "a maybe".

Do you remember Regan that the governments in the past have deliberately dropped news on days when something else overshadows it so it's been done as a bit of a "tactic" so that people don't notice.

Some Tory backbenchers know that something isn't right. A number obviously aren't happy, and several have been quite outspoken.

And yes, governments are adept at trying to mask bad news. Think it was a Blair spin doctor who said at the time of 9/11 - "now is a good time to bury bad news". Why would they be any different now, especially with Johnson in charge?

Over the years the government have been caught doing exactly this.

Here's one for all the sheep; don't shoot the messanger.

"We have to live up to the expectations that we have created, and we will do so."

Shooting messengers is not helpful because it discourages others bringing you bad news you might need to hear.

Shooting plague bearers is unethical but prevents them spreading disease.

This is what makes me chuckle whenever civil liberties are brought up, or conspiracy theories about them are stated, and when they are slated.

IMHO, very few people think that they won't be chipped / tracked / dna-profiled at some point in the future.
The arguments begin when the "conspiracy theorists" say "it's coming", and "the deniers" say "you're a sandwich short of a picnic".

In reality, the only thing in dispute is when it will happen, not if.

Different shoite, same principle.
