Are you on the National Motor Insurance Database?

Mickymoody, you make, some great, really valid, points especially when you went, abroad. I didn't know that, it was possible, to claim that a car, is always legal, even it it, doesn't have and MOT since, you can say to, the police that you are, on the way, to have, it tested, even if you are not. Top, tip.

Why did you give, up your claim, for the damage the police made to, your classic, car? Even though, you had not done, anything wrong which the council, agreed with. You must have the patience, of a, saint.

Read the post properly comma as I didn't say it was legal to do what I did comma but I got away with it on that occasion comma but that was before anpr was integrated fully comma. STOP POSTING SO MANY COMMAS!!!!!!!!!!

Why did I give up pursuing this claim? That's a personal question. There are two reasons. And they are long and boring to read.

I came home from work, and the idiot neighbour had their car parked outside my property. As one of my cars was already parked up, and I arrived home in my other, being unable to park outside my house, I parked bumper to bumper. A while later, a knock on the door, I'm blocked in, can you move your car? So I go to move my car; as I insert the key in the door, the troublesome, drug dealing, threatening neighbours, that have assaulted my kids in the past, start kicking off, so I say NO, if that's the attitude, then I won't move it, turns out the person parked in front of my house is a workman.

So I return to the house, it's 8pm, I have a beer. Next thing police turn up. They threaten and abuse me, I say I was intimidated by this drug dealer family (that got evicted later for drug dealing etc)..but I have no bones against this workman, but now I've had a beer, you will arrest me for driving drunk...so refused to move my car. So copper stole my keys from me, entered my house illegally, moved my car (while uninsured), and broke the handbrake in the process.

So I complain to the main man, who is on the phone when the recovery people come to repair my car...that the damage was caused by the police illegaly moving my car...

THEN The council decide to post a busstop clearway outside of my property....even though I don't have a bus stop outside my property..and then ticket me 3 times, for parking in their clearway, even though they decided to post a clearway outside my property..

So they repainted the lines 3 times at the time (many times since!), and posted no parking within certain times, even though, their painting is illegal, at one stage, the council came out and was affixing an order sign, and I noticed them, and the main man at the council told them to take it down, immediately. I didn't recind the penalties by going into wherever, where you pay the fine, or any referral system, but by contact with the main man..

So to follow up my E reg Celica, at the time wasn't a priority. But in hindsight, should have been, as you have pointed out.

The council have since repainted the clearway illegally, several times.

Most on here won't understand what a clearway is? I say if you are done for overstaying a pay and display, pay the fine, a meter, fine. But if the lines printed on the road are wrong...complain.
