Artificial grass base

I’m just prepping the back garden ready for some artificial grass however levels are all over some large areas by 15cm too low …am I better adding some more soil whack it then my type 1 or have 15mm just of type 1? Thanks jake

15mm could do just with sharp sand or type 1 if you already have it.
Whavk it down and keep it level and the artificial grass will ladt a long time.
Don't forget a weed control membrane.

Ah, in that case, you'll need to build up ground if it doesn't affect anything else, or create a gentle smooth slope towards the lowest part of the garden.
Plan your drainage.

15cm is quite a lot.
Anything you can get hands on really.
Hardcore, soil, ballast, as long as you can compact it and it drains.
