The initial response was to Bob Dole. If you look above, this was the point, that I was in the process of making to him!

Bazdaa, at least there are some voices of reason, such as yourself, with whom i can agree.

However, trying to conduct a reasoned discussion on here is invariably forlorn, but it is amusing and sometimes disturbing to observe the level of ignorance some display.

You have my moral support, but i feel you on a hiding to nothing against such accomplished mass debaters.

Why the "limp wristed" qualifier all the time?

What does it mean? What does it signify?

Do you do it because you realise that "liberal" on its own is actually a term of praise, and you are actually searching for an insult?

In every political and economic etc debate there are conflicting opinions, and some people are in vehement, even violent, opposition to others.

But by and large, most will proclaim their allegiance when defending their position. Communists will say that they are communists, and this is why. The same goes for socialists, conservatives, fascists etc.

People in the pro/anti EC debate will say what they are, and why it's right.

Capitalists will say that they are capitalists.

The list goes on and on.

blimey im sat laughing ( in bemusement) at this thread , its typically english , tippy toe attitude with a hint of new labour idealology ..people take offence at the slightest criticism and try to belittle the other person with an opposing opinion!!! BTW roy keane is one of a long list of man utd players to be Irish, because he is good and i want to name a good asian player ...ji sung park ..and as mentioned earlier roy keane supports celtic since he was a child because he is catholic and would never dream of playing or supporting rangers ( being a protestant club) ...btw man utd used to be a catholic club and man city a protestant club all changed now though , as they just want good players be it black white pink or blue etc ...
