Mine is powered by broadband and the google search for some reason is limited, it's best to open up another internet page using google search, a lot more info that way.

i think part off the problem is publicity

as in coggy and dewys efforts of plugging

novo at every oppertunity

where can you find out about the forum without tripping

over one of the old posts on screwfix

glad to see someone else noticed. What do you think of their publicity drive then?

I guess we all notice the plugging if we surf the forums / fora.
Hardly matters to most of us ...
But there are the more serious users to consider .... I thought the web concept was freedom and openess for all .. But very little comes for nothing today.
I as a relatively newby surfer, would tend not to add to a site's popularity in terms of active posters when it has the, free, but tiresome "Trade / Profession only" forums .. so the advertisers lose another possible customer, only a single drop in the ocean, but then droplets are what Oceans are built from !!

the quote you used lookes like i am against what coggy done
i was not against it it was with the" approval" of screwfix by the fact they didnt remove the links and i suspect [but dont know] that some one asked if they could first as i say just a guess ;)

I have no idea whether anyone asked, I would doubt it. I imagine screwfix put up with it because it does not really matter to them who fields questions. It is just a customer service.

I quoted you from elsewhere because a few posts back you pretty much denied any knowledge of this happening.

well show me where i denied it ;)

probably i worded it wrong i would have no reason to deny it cos ive done it my self for novo and trusted t:cool:  ;)

Wicked shenanegens going on ... Perhaps we should have a Forum court where we try these treacherous creatures and have them sent to the tower ..

you said a few posts ago,

not sure about the ins and outs of screwfix "advertising" ill ask coggy dewy and ss and see what they say

You did not have to ask them. You had already posted elsewhere that they had been doing this.

So anyway - what's the upshot of all this?

Is the hatchet buried? Can I now reference posts on ATT here, and vice-versa?

The upshot is a little fun was had by all.

The problem as I see it is that ATT is not really willing to share. As far as I can make out DIY are willing for anyone to read their postings. On the other hand ATT insist on keeping the exciting ones to themselves. Of course, that is entirely up to them. But if you do want other people to have a chance of reading your back posts and getting some help from them, then it does mean you might not choose to post on ATT.

ATT does seem to have a rather agressive recruiting policy. I do not know if this has changed now. This is interesting and understandable in a new organisation. But one does wonder if they might have other motives.

heeelllooo damocleas

share what

keeping the excitng ones mmmmmmmmmmm talking shop and building site jargon without bad mouthing any one ;)

you can still trawl through old post if you wish :?:

as for "AGGRESSIVE"point me in the direction off anyone who has been harmed or finds it offensive

other motives definatly not

from where im standing you seem to have an alterier motive
or just seem to like stirring thing up    in a nice way though ;)
