I always think the benchmark for if a film or comedy is quality is if you can watch it a number of times over the years/decades and still enjoy it.

Probably the only two more recent comedies I can watch over and over are Father Ted and Peep Show. Just thinking about the image of Bishop Brennan in the skirting board makes me laugh.

An obvious soft target fot tired jokery could be tire some wokery.
I can imagine Basil trying to cope with an influx of drag queens, or blatantly gay/lesbian, etc groups. Could actually be quite funny, but I doubt it's possible in the current times of people floundering around to find and protect all that does and doesn't need protection. It's probably a non-starter.
