I just think there are too many. I'm sure said wife is very nice, but we are being swamped by hordes of people willing to undercut Brits and work for low wages. It can't be healthy. Maybe they are all beautiful people, inside and outside, above ground and below ground, but you can have too much of a good thing. Eat too much cake and you vomit.

Even she agrees it's now out of hand. Anyone can scoff all they like at that comment and say hypocrite, but she gets as annoyed as I when people come over here either free-loading, or they are offended by our culture and heritage. At least she believes "when in Rome"...

Thieving, begging, getting up to no good, drinking, being abusive, living 20 to a house and seem to have a habit of leaving rubbish everywhere. Not sure I'd like them near me to be honest!
On the other hand, my neighbours are Bulgarian. Super hard workers, pay their taxes, never on the scrounge, clean and tidy very nice people.

Trouble with Romania is that many Brits think they are all Roma, when a large part of the Romanian population are actually Caucasian.

Some of the nicest people I have worked for are from Eastern Europe but I find they are generally wary of us and it takes a while to gain their trust. In my experience, the women are more trusting than the men. Also, us Brits can't really work out where they are from because we don't really understand the difference between all the countries.
