Bathrom Wall Recess and Cupboard Light

I am looking for lighting to go into some wall recesses in a bathroom. They need to be F-Marked and not get hot as there will be towels etc. stored underneath the lamps - hence they cannot be 50cm from an object if "Minimum distance from illuminated object is 0.5 metre" means that.

Any ideas?

Downlights, wall lights, mounted lights etc..?

Down Lights mounted in the tiles which are affixed to wood

how much space (vertical and horizontal) have you in the void the lights will be fitted?
Any thermal insulation in the void?

It varies but say 30cm vertical, and 15cm horizontal, I also need a light in a shelving unit that will have towels in it so the height of the towels will be unknown. There is no thermal insulation.

I was considering low voltage but can the transformer go inside the wall void. I would prefer mains voltage though.

Use GU10 low energy lamps, less heat!

Most F rated downlights will be suitable.
If it's bathroom, condensation/moisture problems can arise so could be worth considering moisture resistant type.

Like above low energy/LED GU10 lamps would be advisable.

Don't tile the recesses - line them with removeable opaque acrylic panels and put fluorescent strips in the voids.
