Hi all, we have 3 spotlights in our bathroom, over the past couple months each bulb has died and we replaced 2 of them with the same bulbs that were in there (installed by previous owner) however today all lights are not turning on, I've jumped into the loft to have a look at the wiring to find this layout, specifically says halogen bulbs, but the bulbs are LED, if I were to replace with the specified halogen bulbs would this rectify the problem or will other changes be needed?

Time to dispose of those and fit some new LED lights.

Halogen lamps are obsolete, LEDs won't work with those power supplies, and the existing wiring is a lash up.

That's what I thought, I take it would be a simple loop in, loop out to each of the new spotlights

I would suggest you replace the fittings with units that contain GU10 bulbs and do not need transformers

Sealed lights are the work of the devil

As you have easy access to the wiring, replace the lot with 240v led spotlights.
