Bathroom directly off a kitchen

Hi everyone

Can you have a bathroom directly off a kitchen. Someone has asked me and I have contacted the local council and the lady is unsure and will come back to me which is not promising.

I was told that the rules had changed recently and as long as there was ventilation it is ok??

The old regulations use to ask for two doors between a toilet/bathroom and an area for the preparation of food. However, this was recently(ish) changed to just the one door.
