Bathroom extractor not working. Automatic type

The issue with not having a PIR, in a bathroom with no window is the light always has to be used to trigger the PIR. We have a decent sized window in our bathroom, so often it gets used without the light during the day, but the PIR triggers the the fan and if necessary, the humidity sensor can keep it running.
Please read my post made ealrier today, really sorry as I feel like a right, Richard. :(
 
a screwdriver with that light in it to show if its a live wire/etc

Ok… better if you had a two probe voltage tester. The neon things won’t confirm if the neutral is there.
Very basic test: you could remove the cover and test if there’s volts on the L terminal and Also if volts on the LT terminal goes on and off with the light.
