Currently, my bathroom light and fan don't turn off.

I have replaced the light bulb and the bathroom switch just in case (the switch needed doing anyway), but that has not solved the problem.

What process could I go through to track down this issue?

I do wonder if this juction box could have some corrosion issues (I have read that this is a possible cause).

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Assuming did work, and you have already replaced the switch, then most likely seems to be the fan, often line and switched line taken to fan, so it can run on, so both are taken to fan so step one for me would be picture of fan connections then disconnect the fan.

What is junction box connected to?

Thanks all...

Yes it used to work fine.

Was there any recent work done?
No recent work done.

Everything worked until a few days ago. (I assume thats what your getting at.)

Moisture in the fan, bridging the live and switched live?

@ericmark and @sparkwright So your both suggesting a fan replacement?

Did it have a cover ?

Yes, the junction box did have a cover (back on now) just so I could see what I was facing.

Is the fan mounted in the ceiling?

If so remove the cover as condensation trapped by the cover can do exactly what you describe.

The one time I saw this it was a twin to the bathroom light switch which had no CPC and a screw had been put right through the middle, shorting out the live and switched live when putting down loft boards.
