Hi all.
This boiler is 11.5 months old, I registered it so Warranty is OK...is it not?

Anyway, all fine until lunchtime today. It stopped altogether. There are no neon lights at all on the facia.
There is power getting to the fused spur, and the 3 amp fuse in there is OK.
Pressure is fine at 1.3 bar and there are no leaks at all in the system.
Gas is OK to the house, cooker works.
Obviously no pilot light.
I believe there are further fuses inside the white PCB box, but I'm not opening that in case it ruins any warranty. If a fuse breaks, something caused it to do so anyway, and that is what I want your opinion on.
The settings I use on the two thermostat knobs are less than half way.
We use the room stat to control CH on or off.
There is no power at the boiler, even the timer clock has stopped.

The booklet indicates that the PCB must be changed (If all power is there but no neons), is that your collective opinion?

Go and checked your main fuse board and see if something has tripped

i would check the fuse on the pcb

a power surge can trip the pcb fuse has this protects the pcb

if clock is internal and not working there is no mains to the boiler

Besides he does not want a new boiler fitted has would the heatteam suggest

Yes, that team are the outfit responsible for the Warranty cover. They are due tomorrow. When I posted this I was not certain if the warranty covered me, it seems it does. I was preparing for DIY work / big bill.
The power lead from the spur fuse goes into the PCB covered box. The box is sealed with a Baxi sticker. Removing it will probably ruin warranty, so I'm not doing so.
The power to the various units comes from the PCB box, so the clock is not on an independant circuit, is it?
So if a fuse inside the PCB box has gone, it cuts all power I assume?

clock is not fed via pcb it is live even when selector switch is off.but there is a internal fuse before pcb and clock which sounds like it is gone

clock is not fed via pcb

ooooooooohh, yes it is :!:

Internal clock plugs into PCB terminal A3! (230v)

I thought it did, I followed the wires in and out of box and assumed there would be a fuse in there. I'll post the result tomorrow night (Assuming they turn up as promised).
Fuses concern me though, it blows for a reason. Hope I havnee bought a duff boiler.

agree what you saying baxi but if follow tracks on pcb it is linked direct to mains incoming on pcb

Twas indeed the 2 amp glass fuse in the PCB box. After a long check, there was nothing at all wrong, a faint possibility that rain may have got into the flue and shorted the fan.
Thx for replies.
