I think it depends on what the definition of a child is:
The definition of a paedophile is often used to describe a person who is sexually attracted to children.
In this country we class children those who are under 16.
But I think the more scientific description is: 'a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children'.
I dont actually think the term applies to Prince Andrew, but nevertheless these girls were groomed and they were used as playthings -what he did was appalling and he takes no responsibility for it and feels no remorse.

Lest you all forget Epstein pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a sweetheart deal that is now being investigated - pleading to state charges and not federal crimes. The state AG at the time Alex Acosta worked previously at the Law firm that was at the time defending Epstein, the same firm the current AG Barr also worked at - Kirland & Ellis.

They equate under-age to paedophilia. However trying to tease out the nuances is lost on the general public who like broad brushtrokes. Also you then come across as an apologist in their eyes.
To be more accurate, a much older man sexually abusing a 14 year old girl...
I wonder what those who believe that this isn't a form of paedophilia would think if that happened to a daughter of theirs if they have one?

It is a word with a specific meaning - "little kiddies" if you want it simplified.
