Being a Jew illegal.. sometimes

That would terrible, if true. Do you know of a case of a person being threatened with arrest for being jewish? Such a case would be much more serious than the one being talked about here.

It would be as bad as a country where people are arrested for not being jewish, if they attempt to walk or drive down a street that is reserved for Jews, as happens in Israeli-occupied Palestine.
Come on, Andy, have you got an example or not?

It's a funny thing that the Hamas rockets are mostly little home-made things that never manage to demolish a hospital or major building when fired at Israel

And Israel has lots of powerful bombs, rockets and artillery that demolish big buildings and destroy entire neighbourhoods. And they deliberately destroy hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques, local government buildings, power stations and sewage works.

One errant rocket is very minor on the scale of total destruction committed by Israel.

It would be interesting to see film and reports from independent journalists on the scene, except that Israel has a policy of killing them all.

Funny how that happens.

Another fillyfact.

Still comfortable with the actions of a genocidal regime, i see.

It will all come out in the wash, it's a shame for many on here that their hatred for Jews trumps statistics and facts.

But Israel claims that a powerful explosion destroying a hospital was caused by Hamas.

Israel didn't claim that and the hospital wasn't destroyed, the rocket fell in a parking lot and courtyard rammed full of sheltering Palestinians.
There is film evidence that it was a failed Hamas rocket launch.

JohnD seem to have been asleep for the past few days

Do you mean you have got an example of a person being threatened with arrest because they were Jewish? Please tell us about it.

Perhaps it was a different one.

The consensus from various independent studies of videos, images, and eyewitness reports of the explosion, its aftermath, and the blast area suggests that an errant rocket launch from within Gaza is the most probable cause. While this is not a conclusive finding, it is currently considered the likeliest explanation based on the evidence gathered in investigations conducted by the Associated Press, CNN, The Economist, The Guardian, and The Wall Street Journal.[7] Human Rights Watch stated that the available evidence made an Israeli airstrike "highly unlikely".[6] However, Forensic Architecture cast doubt on the errant rocket launch theory in a visual investigation published on 15 February 2024.[8]

Thanks for your link

"Al Jazeera published an analysis of the hospital explosion on 19 October.[83][84] Al Jazeera said they had constructed a second-by-second timeline by analyzing video footage of the event. According to Al Jazeera, a rocket launched from Gaza was intercepted by an Iron Dome interceptor and "completely destroyed" in mid-air five seconds before the hospital explosion. As no more rocket launches could be seen in video footage from Gaza from this time until the hospital explosion, Al Jazeera said that they found "no grounds" for the IDF assertion that the hospital explosion was caused by a failed rocket launch from Gaza. The investigation also identified "four Israeli air strikes on Gaza, targeting the area near the hospital" in the minutes before the explosion.[84][85][86] Uzi Rubin, the founder and first director of the Israel Missile Defense Organization, told the BBC that the video footage is not consistent with an Iron Dome interception, which causes "an almost immediate sympathetic explosion of the hostile rocket warhead" as opposed to the "elongated glowing debris cloud that fades out after a couple of seconds" seen in the video. By contrast, Marc Garlasco said he did believe the video was consistent with an Iron Dome interception.[62]"

"Authenticity of purported call recording
Shortly after the explosion, IDF released an audio recording purportedly containing an intercepted conversation between two Hamas operatives saying that a misfired rocket launched by PIJ caused the explosion.[46] BBC Verify and CNN said they could not verify the recording.[2][35] Channel 4 News reported on a forensic analysis of the alleged Hamas operative audio released by the IDF, concluding that it was digitally manipulated.[64] Channel 4 News spoke to two unnamed Arabic language journalists who said that the recording did not appear authentic, because the "language, accent, dialect, syntax and tone" were not credible.[31] Channel 4 News also reported on a preliminary audio assessment performed by a sonic analysis company called Earshot, which concluded that the audio recording had been edited to fuse two channels that were recorded separately, one for each speaker.[92] Voice of America and NBC News quote a US intelligence official who said that their conclusions regarding the cause of the explosion were based in part on another audio recording, different from the publicly available one and assessed as authentic by language experts.[93][94]"

It's a pity Israel has a policy of killing journalists, isn't it?

And, especially, thanks for including the link

"After the explosion, Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesperson appeared on CNN and the BBC, pointing to a still from an Al Jazeera livestream showing a mid-air explosion. Lerner claimed that this footage captured the misfiring rocket responsible for the blast at al-Ahli. According to our analysis, this missile is likely an Israeli interceptor, unrelated to the al-Ahli blast."

"As it stands, Israel has yet to provide any conclusive visual evidence to support the claim that the source of the deadly blast at al-Ahli hospital was a Hamas or PIJ rocket.

It is also worth noting that four days before the explosion at al-Ahli, on 13 October, Israel ordered the evacuation of all northern hospitals, including al-Ahli; and the following day, an Israeli strike on the hospital’s cancer treatment ward was confirmed by Al-Haq (Israel is known to issue warning strikes prior to full scale attacks). This incident was hardly an anomaly. In the ten days prior, the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported 51 attacks on medical infrastructure in Gaza.

By aggregating news reports from Al-Jazeera, Alaraby, and Shehab News since 7 October, our analysis shows that Israeli intimidation and attacks on medical infrastructure, including hospitals, has been systematic and unrelenting, following a consistent pattern defined by attacks on the surrounding area, direct targeting, siege, and occupation.

Not many, but some I'm sure.

They don't appear to be concerned about unarmed civilians when they go after the few they actually want
