Yep I do not like the retractable ones - the only thing wrong with that 199 is it just needs a tool less screw to get to the new blades inside.Depends what you mean by 'classic'
Stanley 199 still the best available. Cheap, blades available everywhere.

Of course it's a fixed blade - but it would be. All retractable blade knives are unsafe crap, because the blade isn't securely fixed and never can be due to the retracting mechanism.
I leave it knocking around on the bench or in a tool boxHow do you store them?
That's the one I use good to use 2 handed when triming leadI have a Stanley Fatmax: (which I can't find just now when I need it!!) It's retractable but with a big brass knob which will clamp it or open the body wherein lurks a nice plastic container holding about 10 spare blades. Nice and comfortable to hold.
