Not only that the 'left-overs' were produced using oil derived fertilizer and pesrticides. You haven't gained energy at all - you've lost it.

Yep, read it. Read other doom scenarios before, predicting global starvation in the early 90's (1990's that is).
You forget one thing joe: resilience, stubbornness to 'plot' on - to find alternatives, to live. That's what makes us 'tick' as human beings. Mind you, I;m not saying things won't get harder, they will and still we will plot on to the best of our abilities.
I'm not one to believe these doom preachers. If you do, be my guest. We'll talk again in 10 - 20 years time

Now go back and follow all of the imbedded links. You will see that there are no alternatives. You can't replace virtually free oil with anything other than free energy - and there is none.
Oil was a free lunch and we've squandered the lot.
You believe what you believe because you want to believe it. Are you religious by any chance? It's the same mind-set in action. People believe in God and an afterlife for no other reason than they want to believe in it.

Do I try to force you to belive me? Then why the otherway around? My world is really real, my background in real. You're not the most ideal person to have a discussion with, cause in your HO there has to be a winner, well there won't be untill over 10 - 20 years.
