Bitten the hybrid bullet!

Mine does this: it is a safety feature, as the driver's seat slides backwards when you "turn off the ignition" (to give you more room to get out, and back in next time).
That’s one thing I miss from my Evoque. Had memory seats so when you got in, you pressed your number and it went to your set position including the mirrors. With our A3, if Mrs Mottie has been driving with the seat up and so far forward, I just cannot get in. I have to reach in, move the seat back and lower it first. PITA!

One hoot.....
After switching off, it tells me to 'Check the back seat'.
Apparently this is to ensure that you haven't left any children there when you leave the car
I assume this is for the benefit of our American friends :giggle:
Have a good day, everyone
John :)
Mine does this if you opened a back door at the beginning of the journey, typically for someone to get in.

Car needs to tell EV drivers to check the back seat?

When I have been to States I found the excessive bonging noises a bit annoying. These battery things sound like they're taking it to the extreme.

Just had a (expletive deleted) Toyota as a hire car on holiday. So many b****y beeps, bongs, chimes it was distracting (read Dangerous) to drive first time behind the wheel especially in Italian city traffic. Even after a fortnight I still found the racket distracting!
It would make a warning sound at every speed limit sign. Make a sound when reversing - not even close to objects.

I hope I never have to drive another toyota.

A carcophany (pun intended) of noise like that is just confusing, disorientating and distracting. It's like putting dozens of warning signs over something warning about this, that and the other. The messages are lost due to overload.

Like the fact my old van only has a lights left on warning - that's it.

It does however, make one hell of a racket if you try to reverse when there is an obstruction in the vicinity...
I read a great review once of the W140 S-Class, which had telescopic rear corner indicators (just like those electric car radio aerials cars used to have) which emerged when you selected reverse "so that you could see where the rear was, rather than hearing it"

Please show a causal relationship between the vehicle propulsion system and its safety/warning systems.

If you can't then you risk appearing deranged.

These comments from you sound like you have serious problems with logic, and rational thinking.
