Black cladding / anyone charred their own?

just incase anyone's interested in future, I ended up cladding it in those Coroline bitumen sheets, and only doing a bit of my own charring on the window reveal boards (cheapo PAR pine - looks good and will see how long it lasts). One thing I realised was to do this at any scale would require some serious supplies of propane (or MAP in my case as I use it for plumbing). Must have used nearly a full cylinder in the end - I know it doesn't look like much! Happy with the result anyway :)
