I tell all of my customers to flush anything they want down the toilet..........as they will be calling me back the following week.

I hope so too. Are they really that bad? Some of them say 'flushable' on the packaging, and when you compare them to what else goes down the pan...

Wipes simply don't break down, they stay intact, getting wrapped around anything and everything, blocking pipes and pumps, and causing major problems in the network. Those that make it to the works are just screened out, binned and sent to landfill. People need to bin them at source, the toilet is not a dustbin. Photo shows what happens, this was a large lump removed from a sewer by a cleaning crew recently.
