Interesting that it this is centred around Apple.
I was reading a few weeks back, someone has disassembled their new "Mac Mini", and identified some unused connectors that could be there to allow an iPod dock to be included in an improved version.
Now, seeing as this has been discovered by the guy disassembling one he bought, and then disseminating his (almost certainly true) theory on the net, would Apple try to bring some trade secrets case on the Apple-enthusiast for "reverse engineering"?
Or is it OK because he has explained how he obtained the information?
Life would be so much easier and less litigous if we went back to 17th century printing presses
